- About you and this role
- Dow is offering a great opportunity within the EMEA P&SPH business for a Senior EH&S Sustainability Technician in the Product Stewardship team.
- This individual will act as Customer Care Product Stewardship Technician for Plastics for Europe/Middle East/Africa as the main responsibility and as Run-the-Business Product Steward Specialist for a specific P&SPH value center globally.
- Customer Care role - In close collaboration with the regional Product Stewardship team and the global Customer Care team, this individual will use a broad understanding of product regulatory and product portfolio and applies skills and knowledge in a range of processes, procedures, and systems to provide customer regulatory support. The primary focus will be management of customer regulatory inquiries and related tracking and reporting, using existing or developing new processes and procedures. The individual will be responsible for managing the tools in place for capturing metrics, developing the customized letters, and document storage. The individual will collaborate with other customer-facing teams. The individual will Works with a limited degree of supervision, with oversight typically only on complex new assignments.
- Run-the-Business role - In close collaboration with the Product Stewardship team of a specific P&SPH value center, this individual will support compliance with the business Product Stewardship Program. This individual will assist in product regulatory compliance activities and in product risk characterization, with composition analysis and reporting. This individual will participate in key work processes like product Change Management Tool requests and Business Risk Review. This individual will be responsible for managing or reviewing key customer regulatory documents like Safety Data Sheets (SDS)/Labels and Regulatory Data Sheets (RDS). The activities will also support business sustainability and safer materials goals.

- Responsibilities
- Customer Care role
- Primarily focus on management of customer inquiries.
- Responsible and accountable for monitoring the team functional mailbox and handling inquiries escalated from Customer Information Group (CIG), Product Stewardship, and business partners
- Responsible for managing the local tools in place for capturing metrics, developing the customized letters, and document storage.
- Develops basic knowledge of the P&SPH product line and technology, plus new and changing product EH&S regulations, including country specific regulations in order to effectively provide the services described by the role.
- Provides training to Customer Information Group (CIG) and other customer-facing roles.
- Run-the-Business role
- Responsible for reviewing and approving Safety Data Sheets (SDS)/Labels.
- Manages Regulatory Data Sheets (RDS) creation, maintenance, distribution, and retention process.
- Assists in Product Regulatory Compliance activities (e.g., Inventory registrations, compositional impact assessments).
- Assists in Product Risk Characterization.
- Participates in key work processes (i.e., Business Risk Review, Management of Change, Change Management Tool request, etc.).
- Supports compliance with the business Product Stewardship Program.
- Gains full knowledge of product stewardship practices within the business and uses this expertise to develop EH&S solutions.

- Qualifications
- Technical degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, Industrial Hygiene, or a Specialized EH&S Discipline.
- Professional experience in product stewardship, product regulatory, hazard communication, or toxicology.
- Has a generic product, market, and regulatory knowledge.
- Has a strong customer focus and good communication skills.
- Has the ability to execute EH&S data processing as prescribed in work process / job aids and has the ability to develop new work process / job aids. Demonstrates high attention to detail.
