We are looking for a Turbomachinery Fluidic Engineer in Barcelona:
**About your job**:
As Turbomachinery Fluidic Engineer, you will work directly with our turbomachinery department and play an important role in developing turbomachinery for propulsion systems. This role brings with it the opportunity to work with a broad range of rocket turbomachinery systems that serve the launch industry at large, each of which presents unique engineering challenges.

This role primarily involves being the responsible engineer for the fluid dynamics development of centrifugal cryogenic pumps, in addition to overseeing the development of similar cryogenic pumps.

As experienced engineer, it is required that you organize and execute plans to achieve technical and system requirements, that you are able to draw conclusions from pump test data to validate fluid dynamics design methods, and finally that you introduce methodologies for analytical tool implementation aiming at improving the fluid dynamic design and predictive capabilities of pump performances.

This role requires strong working knowledge of fluid dynamics and turbomachinery principles. As part of the turbomachinery fluid dynamics team, you will constantly interact with the turbine aerodynamics development and work closely with mechanical and testing team to develop high-pressure cryogenic pump elements.

Initially, you will be directly responsible for the development of the liquid oxygen and liquid methane pumps of the ARCOS engine, Pangea Aerospace’s flagship aerospike system.

**What you need to be successful**:

- Bachelor’s degree in aeronautical/astronautical, aerospace or mechanical engineering.
- 3-5+ years of hands-on experience of turbomachinery fluid dynamics design in either an aerospace field, or any field working with turbomachinery or pumps.
- Creative problem solver, experience in overcoming failure, and an independent learner.
- Strong interpersonal skills, teamwork abilities, and experience managing other engineers.
- Experience with one of the following: Rocket Turbopumps, Centrifugal and/or axial pumps, Cryogenic fluid systems
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, compressible and incompressible flows
- Experience with commercial and in-house CFD software.
- Experience with commercial CAD software (Siemens Nx preferably).
- Experience with programming languages (Matlab or Python preferably)
- Fluent in English

**Other useful skills**:

- Master, Post graduate or PhD in aeronautical/astronautical, aerospace or mechanical engineering
- Experience with Additive manufacturing or traditional manufacturing
- In-depth understanding of liquid rocket engine working principles
- Experience with Combustion systems
