Regional Procurement Lead

This role could work 100% remotely, ideally coming to the site once a week.

Being part of the renewed IFF EU procurement team, the Regional Procurement Lead (RPL) will be leading procurement performance & coordination for three major IFF production sites in Europe (Spain, England and Israel). You will oversee a portfolio that includes mainly synthetic derived materials (160mio) managed both at global and regional levels.

As the RPL, you will also be the European procurement business partner for the Fragrance Ingredients Management team, notably partnering up with the global innovation team based in Benicarlo.

You will be accountable for the management of the regional raw materials portfolio, including establishing sourcing strategies, setting strategic objectives, optimizing supplier’s portfolio and delivering transformative initiatives. You will manage relationships with key suppliers, ensure alignment with IFF business objectives, and participate with the global category teams to align sourcing strategies with global, regional, and local business needs.

The key value axis of IFF sourcing strategy are the following:

- Ensure strategically supply resilience and be for our key suppliers ‘customer of first choice’ and building strategic business contingency plans (inc. near shoring).
- Drive cost competitiveness through TCO and cash optimization, with a cross-functional vision.
- Reinforce IFF sustainability agenda on the category (green chemistry development, mass balance, etc.).
- Drive innovations and support business growth through new products development.
- Be a force of change through procurement project management and execution.

The job function requires international external interactions with suppliers and chemical market players. In addition, it requires extensive internal interaction with key functions including Regulatory, R&D, Quality, Creation & Application, Commercial, and Technical Program leads.

**Your responsibilities**
- Develop regional category strategies for assigned categories and sub-categories to ensure raw material supply, manage costs, and capture savings. Implement global strategies within the region, driving results and achieving strategic objectives.
- Optimize raw material quality and service: work with technical teams to accelerate adoption of alternate products and suppliers.
- Provide continuous impactful communication to stakeholders. Be the advocate of the regional spend.
- Ensure tight business connections with regional business leaders. Update on market development, build customers’ ready communication, partner up with sales and creative teams, create general awareness on managed upstream markets and sourcing strategies.

**Job Requirements**:

- Your Bachelor, or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Science/Engineering, Supply Chain or equivalent experience.
- We will rely on your preliminary experience in building up sourcing strategies (ideally in the synthetic/chemical ingredients field).
- You have around 4 to 5 years’ experience in the procurement area of responsibility with international exposure, product depth and contacts in key supply markets for raw materials.
- You will bring strong knowledge of business practices and financial concepts/impact/analyses.
- Strong people skills, project management and experience in cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Fluent oral and written skills in English language.
- Ability and flexibility to navigate through change.
