**The Institute**

The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is an international biomedical research institute of excellence, based in Barcelona, Spain, with more than 400 scientists from 44 countries. **The role**

We are seeking a talented computational biologist with experience in next-generation sequencing data, particularly in single-cell transcriptomics and post-transcriptional regulation. The primary goal of the job is to analyze single-cell long read data from various species and investigate the conservation and divergence of coordinated pre-mRNA processing.

**Professional experience**

**Must Have**
- Experience in single-cell next-generation sequencing analyses
- Ability to interact and collaborate with biologists

**Desirable but not required/ Nice to have**
- Experience with the generation of scientific visualizations with R or other software

**Education and training**
- Hold a PhD in Genetics, Computational biology or related areas

**Languages**
- Proficient in English

**Technical skills**
- Programming in at least one language (Python, Perl and/or R)

**Competences**
- Highly developed organizational skills
