**Your Role and Responsibilities**
This is an exciting role where the Solution Architect gets to work with clients, sales and other technical architects during the sales cycle to help close deals. This role is fun and challenging, with the angle of generating revenue being an important part of the role. Clients are excited at the potential of Data combined with AI, and the meetings with them are always rewarding as we explore how we can help them transform their business.

The Solutions Architect is a member of the Data & AI delivery team in SPGI and will serve as a technical expert focused on providing thought leadership both internally across IBM as well as prospects and clients.

Solution architects work with sales and are responsible for overseeing the creation and technical feasibility of solutions based on the Data & AI portfolio, with the goal of ensuring successful delivery. Architects working in this phase not only build solutions with Data & AI components but must understand integration aspects of the overall client solution. They are also responsible for understanding and building staffing plans associated with the various offerings. As a trusted advisor to both clients and sales, solution architects use IBM design principles to construct detailed software/SaaS architectures for clients. To accomplish this, they draw out use case details from clients, by workshop or other means. Deliverables include reference architectures, Solution Review Board proposals, staffing plans/templates, white papers and client presentations.

Success in the role requires an organised, team player, with the ability to influence and enable, and a focus on ensuring that the value of the IBM Data & AI Platform solutions are understood and successfully messaged.

**Responsibilities**:

- Engage with sales and client teams, understand business priorities and pain points.
- Understand and highlight integration points with other IBM offerings.
- Produce reference architecture documents
- Develop relationships with the wider delivery, sales, tech sales & client technical teams to ensure they understand how Data & AI Platform solutions help them to differentiate themselves within their target markets.
- Collaborate with sales teams on strategies to help ensure the business value of IBM Data & AIs solutions are understood throughout the sales campaign and realised upon implementation.
- Understand the delivery process and methodologies.
- Participate in the solutioning process and support the Services Solution Managers to develop scope, architecture, and delivery plans.
- Lead Solution Architecture Review meetings with senior Data & AI technical leaders when dealing with custom/complex solutions.
- Contribute to the success of strategic companywide initiatives that will contribute to the ongoing success of the IBM Data & AI Platform.

**Profile**:
1.Broad exposure to a variety of IBM Data & AI technologies and concepts, and comfortable with complex heterogeneous system implementations.

2.Proven experience in IBM Cloud Pak for Data (CP4D) installation, configuration & administration

3.Proven experience in delivery of Data Governance project on CP4D

4.Outstanding business acumen with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

5.Strong estimation and scoping skills, with the ability to highlight key risks and assumptions.

6.Proven ability to add positive value to consultative multi-skilled teams consisting of customers and third parties

7.Strong sense of initiative, a positive attitude, and a collaborative working style

8.Excellent relationship-building, communication (written/verbal), presentation and negotiation skills are required

9.Proven track record of creating and driving processes and the use of structured methodologies, while maintaining creativity

10.Able to handle a fast-paced environment and continuously re-prioritize while maintaining a constant focus on closing deal.

11.Enjoys teaming with sales, ability to work under pressure, ability to lead others.
