**Postdoctoral Researcher**

**Nephrology and Transplantation Research Group**

VHIR offers a vacant position for a post-doctoral researcher with immunological background for the Nephrology and

Transplantation Research Group and related to the AGORA EraPermed grant.

AGORA introduces non-invasive biomarkers for predicting subclinical rejection and graft failure. The project aims to

establish a comprehensive clinical decision tool through retrospective validation and a multicenter trial, AGORAC. This

trial compares immunosuppression strategies, enhancing patient involvement and clinical efficiency. With validated

biomarkers and collaborative expertise, AGORA promises to revolutionize kidney transplant care by personalizing

immunosuppressive therapy on a European scale.

**Education and qualifications**:
**Required: -**

Bachelor’s Degree in Biosciences (Biology or Biotechnology) / Master Degree in Immunology / PhD related
with Biomedicine
- Fluency in Catalan, Spanish and English (business level)

Additional training in animal models.

**Experience and knowledge**:
**Required: -**

At least 10 years of experience working in the field of solid organ transplantation.
- Knowledge on the immunological bases of kidney transplantation.
- Experience in managing and coordinating a research laboratory.
- Experience in cell cultures and cell isolation.

Experience in ELISPOT techniques (both T cell ELISPOT and HLA-sp B cell ELISPOT).
- Experience in flow cytometry and panel design.
- Ability to answer scientific questions through experimental design.
- Publications in scientific journals certifying the expertise.
- Prior experience within the group or similar groups in the field of Transplant Immunology.

**Desired: -**

Previous experience and participation in European multicenter studies in the field of Transplantation.
- Knowledge and expertise in the field of Immunometabolism.
- Experience as PI or co-PI of a competitive Project.
- Mentoring experience with PhD and/or Masters’ students.

**Main responsibilities and duties: -**

Leading a research line in the laboratory.
- Collaborate with partners at international level.
- Coordination and supervision of other personnel in the laboratory; mentoring of PhD and Master´s students.
- Coordinate and manage sample shipments.
- Performance of immunological studies.
- Analyze experimental and bioinformatics’ data.
- Keep track of new opportunities for funding and educational activities.

**Labour conditions: -**

Full-time position: 40h/week.
- Starting date: immediate, 2024.
- Gross annual salary: 32.719,00 euros /// (Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are
