**We wish to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic specialist SEN Support Teacher**. The successful applicant will work as a key member of the school Inclusion Department. In addition to providing in.class support, the SEN Teacher will also plan and teach one-to-one and small-group interventions for pupil with a range of special educational needs. High-quality record keeping relating to the assessment of individual pupil progress and reporting to parents and the SENCo in a regular basis will be a key requirement of this role.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- A P.G.C.E. or equivalent educational qualification.
- Experience of teaching the British National Curriculum and pupils with a range of special educational needs.
- Continuous professional development or additional qualifications related to teaching pupils with special educational needs.
- Proficient level of English (Mother tongue / C2).
- An up-to-date knowledge of current inclusive educational developments.

**SEN TEACHER RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Lead by example to uphold the school’s mission statement and promote the school’s values of: CURIOSITY, KINDNESS, ENTHUSIASM, COMMUNITY SPIRIT & PERSEVERANCE.
- Work collaboratively with members of teaching staff and the other members of the Inclusion Team.
- Plan, create, implement and assess Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and report progress to parents and the Whole-School SENCo.
- Plan, teach and assess individual and small-group support sessions for pupils with a range of special educational needs.
- Provide in-class support for pupils with a range of special educational needs.
- Provide support and intervention during crisis situations, considering the unique needs of students with special educational requirements.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, assessments, and interventions.
- Meet regularly with the Whole-School SENCo to discuss the needs, progress and assessments of the pupils they teach.
- Provide teachers with guidance, advice and resources to ensure individual pupils' needs are met in all lessons.
- Provide parents with written and verbal feedback about their child’s progress and areas for development related to their IEP targets.
- Attend regular meetings with parents, teachers and outside agencies to monitor pupil progress and inform provision.
- Undertake all other reasonable duties as requested by the Senior Leadership and Management Team.
