The _Services Customs Operations Leader _is responsible _for efficient and timely movement of Services parts worldwide. Cepheid is a place where every day is a learning opportunity - so you can grow your career and expand your skills in the long term._

This position is part of the Global Services Logistics Team and will be located in _Barcelona/Spain. _At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

**In this role, you will have the opportunity to**:

- _ Ensure import/export requests are resolved quickly to prevent disruptions in supply chain._
- _ Manages impact of Customs Law and Regulation, Customs Processes and Procedures, Tariff Classification, Rules of Origin, Customs Valuation, Customs Declarations for Cepheid’s services business worldwide_
- _ Ensure 100% adherence to laws, regulations, and corporate policy. This includes internal policies and procedures, external government regulations and customer policies / requirements._
- _ Review and approve shipping documents and commercial invoices._
- _ Continuous process improvement mindset: identify gaps in current processes and procedures. Provide recommendations to improve operational processes._

**The essential requirements of the job include**:

- _ Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics/International Trade or Supply Chain._
- _ Expert knowledge in international trade regulations._
- _ Good knowledge of incoterms and impacts to supply chain and logistics._
- _ 5+ years of "hands-on" cross-border working experience, including strong connections with regulatory authorities in key region/specific countries._
- _ Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results._

**It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in**:

- _ Customs brokerage_
- _ Finance, and _
- _Customer Service_
