**The role**:
R&D Information Technology (IT) is the stream in Nestlé IT in charge of powering the R&D function with IT capabilities to drive company growth through breakthrough research than can be translated quickly into products and services.

Digital technologies are triggering a crucial, comprehensive transformation of R&D organizations, and Nestlé is no exception. It is not only about adopting digital tools, but is a fundamental shift in the operating model for R&D. For this reason, Nestlé R&D has developed a strategy to leverage digital to accelerate time to value, protect the core and unlock new opportunities, for example, by leveraging consumer insights to drive innovation and renovation.

**What you’ll do**
- You will define the processes required to ensure proper operability and scalability of all the operations related to the infrastructure.
- You will work closely with development teams and suppliers to secure that the value planned will be delivered in the most optimal way according to the product strategy and the overall value for money objectives linked to the IS/IT strategy.
- You will manage and own corporate processes related to the infrastructure of the products to ensure compliance and quality.
- You will Identify the organizational impact (for example, on skills, processes, structures or culture) and financial impact of the solution architecture.
- You will engage with Product Managers across the product groups and the whole IT organization to ensure alignment with the overall enterprise architecture and security requirements
- You will lead identification and analysis of key industry and technology trends to assess potential effect on the enterprise and facilitate their testing for R&D Needs in collaboration with the Strategic Product Portfolio Architect.
- You will support the design and modeling of tactical architectures for delivery, development, and support of special projects such as mergers, acquisitions or divestitures, and supporting experimentation on R&D.

**Qualifications**
You are comfortable with most of the below points:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics or physics or a related study, or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge on Microsoft Azure Cloud and Amazon Web Services.
- Solid understanding of:

- Microservices architecture and containerization (docker, containers) and orchestrators such as Kubernetes (Azure AKS and AWS EKS, ECS,)
- Linux operating system knowledge. Command Line proficiency.
- Relational databases knowledge such as MySQL, including Azure MySQL and AWS RDS Aurora, including replication, high-availability, backups, disaster recovery, access management.
- ML and AI technologies and frameworks knowledge.
- Strong emphasis on security principles, best practices, including encryption (TLS), access and identity management, authentication.
- Knowledge about Snowflake or equivalent.
- Data architecture knowledge.
- Experience with financial operations on public cloud providers - resource right-sizing, resources cost optimization and budget planning.
- Understanding and knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies (such as Agile software development, rapid prototyping, and DevOps)
- Understanding and knowledge of IT standards and controls
- Experience with effective communication at different levels in the organization and in English
- Experience having worked in a global environment and with virtual teams.
- Knowledge of python ecosystem at level to design and build by himself small prototypes and helper scripts.
- Hands on experience using CLI tools and scripting languages. Specially in Unix like environments.
- Experience conducting proof of technology pilots and in-depth analysis of emerging technology.
- Natural curiosity and desire of learning.
