Technical buyer. Supports purchasing function. Ensures to deliver in time CostedBOMs for programs and new RFQs. Support Purchasing Commodities.

Assumes the role of an Advanced Buyer based in Valls (Spain). You will be the interface with Hardware engineering, Mechanical engineering, Engineering Project leader, Product Manager, Manufacturing, etc.

In charge of capturing the engineering needs for the RFQs, awarded programs and in mass productions programs ensuring cost targets are met.

Direct report to the Advanced Purchasing Manager for Electronics in Europe **, (Elisabeth Ibarra)**

**Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to)**:

- Review the BOM, (Bill of Material), understand the content, talk to Engineering department each time any BOM change is needed to be evaluated, (supplier change, new supplier reference to be considered or quoted, etc)
- Evaluate vendor quotes to determine most desirable suppliers following the Suppliers Preferred list from Purchasing Commodity teams.
- Join meetings with the rest of the Cross functional team being the interface between Commodity Purchasing teams and the rest of departments: PM, ENG, EPL, Sales, Manufacture plant, Sales, etc.
- Become familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures, (ESDB Purchasing database, LSA productivity, Purchasing Profile deliverables, SEM, EPDB, etc)
- Taking “ownership” of the project, knowing the main project milestones, (DV & PV & Mass production dates and what is required from PUR for each of the different project phases)

**To be a success in this role you must have**:

- Bachelor’s degree: Engineering in Electronics, Industrial, Automotive or equivalent or ADE.
- Experience on automotive products, (electronics or Mechanics, etc)
- Dynamic, team coordinator, proactive and communications skills.
- Excellent in English.
