Sr. Pv Engineer

**Who are we looking for?**:
RatedPower is currently seeking a passionate Sr. PV Engineer for our Product group responsible for providing technical and engineering leadership during the detailed design phase of PV plants that results in smooth transition to construction operations.
The Sr. PV Engineer will provide overall leadership direction to a project, including the management of product quality, as well as mentoring the project team. Develop and enhance customer relationships by providing excellent service. The Sr. PV Engineer will ensure the manager’s vision is translated into design solutions and construction parameters through leadership of the software developers and team members.
The position is based in our office in Madrid and will report to the product manager of the solar photovoltaic team.
- Responsible for the direction of utility-scale solar PV engineering (>5MW) and electrical design to meet customer requirements.
- Provide direction with environmental, civil, and structural knowledge to ensure a cohesive and optimal design.
- Oversee the procurement specifications for major equipment, including, but not limited to, solar modules, trackers, racking piles, inverters, transformers, SCADA, cable, cable management systems, etc.
- Reviewing customer specifications/requirements and communicating specific requirements to the product team.
- Collaborate with the software, customer success and business teams, to frame and solve new product challenges, from both a technical and a business perspective.

**Required skills**:

- 7+ years relevant project management experience in the Solar industry.
- Expert in the detailed design of solar PV projects.
- Successfully completed degree: Master or PhD in Industrial / Electrical Engineering.
- Expertise and deep understanding of the solar PV developing stages, requests for proposal, tenders, manufactures and industry.
- Experience in preparing engineering documentation in Word/Excel and design drawings in CAD.

**Desired skills**:

- Experience with solar software such as PVSyst.
- English language working competence - C1 (ideal).
