The Head of Supply Chain Management Bio & Specialties will provide supply chain direction, partnership and leverage knowledge across Bio & Injectable unit to enable the supply chain function to support Sandoz objectives. The role provides oversight for supply planning of all projects, conducts ongoing evaluation of operational systems and processes to maximize effectiveness, and manages small molecules supply chain. Drive commercial demand alignment, business Planning, people management, solution development, enhance operational support across the Network. In collaboration with Commercial operations and Bio & Injectables Head, develop supply strategies and plans that support Sandoz strategic direction. Driving high performance team culture, quality and compliance with the aim to Optimize supply to meet the patient requirements.
Major Accountabilities (Describe the main results of the job to be achieved )
Supply Chain
- Act as a business partner and single point of contact for supply chain topics for the Bio & Injectable Platform Head
- Develops, manages, communicates and plans effectively to ensure alignment with and clear understanding of strategic and supply operational goals for Bio Business.
- Ensure efficient and effective Supply Chain Business Partnering between Commercial Operations and Bio STO
- Presides supply chain configurations and supports a manufacture supply strategy end to end (DS to FP)
- Assist in the launch of new products by using a design-to-value approach that integrates consumer needs, competitive intelligence, and supplier insights into the supply chain, as well as minimize finished goods and product obsolescence
- Responsible for the management of escalation for potential supply issues and ensuring bottleneck management, product allocation is implemented, in collaboration with commercial operations and Bio Ops Unit to ensure no patient impact
- Responsible for the Volume and decision on the appropriate volume assigned to the Network based on the capacity configuration.
- Support Long-term Demand, Supply and Capacity Plans for the Network from supply and strategy perspective
- Own the Bio IBP process linking STO Site Operational Business plan and long-term Strategy. Facilitates decisions within the Network on capacity and associated supply plans
- Responsible for governing the supply chain activity portfolio of the Bio sites by supporting the teams in the definition and execution of the supply chain strategies, initiatives, prioritizing and resourcing appropriately, leveraging Supply Chain expertise and capabilities.
- Preside over the Inventory Implement Plans ensuring they are in line with the STO strategy plans, facilitating the Inventory evolution over the long-term Horizon.
- Network Optimisation, contributes and assesses the impact on supply of the strategic decisions on the approved supply network configuration
- Responsible for the SCM Operational excellence projects, ensuring the supply chain team are supported
- Responsible for implementation and execution of Supply Chain Standard processes across Bio business and continuously improving supply chain standard processes with other SC teams
- Responsible for the performance reporting that enables assessment of past performance and prepares the organisation by anticipating the future for pro-active and decision-making
- Improves the supply chain parameters to enhance supply productivity improvements
- Ensures compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements and continuous improvement of quality relevant supply chain processes.

People
- Builds, develops supply chain professionals and provides leadership and management for the Bio Ops Team
- Responsible for the development, training, coaching and maintenance of a talent pool that assures a high-performance organisation
- Ensures the cross training and opportunities across Supply Chain sharing, and implementation of best practice
- Responsible, together with Bio Platform Head for the selection and performance assessment of the local Site Supply Chain Organisation and Leader

10+ years of working experience in local, regional and global functions with minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Pharmaceutical Industry in a leadershi
