**Secondary Teacher of Mathematics with ICT**

The English School wishes to recruit an enthusiastic Secondary teacher of Mathematics, who is suitably qualified to teach across the secondary age and ability range, including IGCSE and A-Level Maths. The ability to also teach ICT in Key Stage 3 will be considered an advantage.

**Job Overview**

The English School is a small, friendly, family-run, fully private school located just outside the town of Mutxamel, close to Alicante in the south-east of Spain. The school is one-form entry from Nursery to Year 13, with an international student profile.

We now seek for September 2024 an enthusiastic Teacher of Mathematics, ideally with the ability to also teach ICT in Key Stage 3.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- A degree in Mathematics or a relevant degree.
- A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification.
- C2/Mother tongue level of English.
- An ability to challenge all students to achieve excellent progress, in accordance with their needs.

SUBJECT TEACHER REPSONSIBILITIES:

- Assist in the planning, preparing and delivering of departmental schemes of work in accordance with the National Curriculum and with students’ needs.
- Create an effective and stimulating learning environment.
- Mark, test, assess and record in accordance with school and department policy.
- Contribute to students’ end of term reports in line with school policy.
- Enforce school rules in class and at all times around the school.
- Liaise with the Head of Secondary or Safeguarding officers, as appropriate, regarding any concerns about individual students.
- Undertake all other reasonable duties, including break and lunchtime supervision, as requested by the Head of Secondary or Head Teacher.
