At Zanders, we are an international consultancy specializing in Risk, Treasury, and SaaS solutions. With our origins in the Netherlands, we've expanded our footprint across Europe, the United States, the Middle East, and Asia. We have recently opened a new location for our Financial Institutions team in Spain. Our primary focus revolves around credit risk, asset & liability management (ALM), ESG & climate change risk, and, in response to our continued growth, we've also ventured into domains like blockchain technology.

Our client base comprises banks, insurers, and asset managers. As part of our team, you will play a pivotal role in advising our clients on matters related to their risk models, policies, and governance.

**Your role**

As a valued member of our international 'Financial Institutions' management team, you'll experience a dynamic blend of freedom, responsibility, innovation, and collaboration, all while embracing a culture of fun and flexibility. Within this role, you will engage in a diverse array of quantitative credit risk projects, working alongside multidisciplinary teams to tackle complex challenges and formulate actionable models for client implementation. You'll provide invaluable guidance to clients, autonomously manage smaller projects, and collaborate within teams on larger endeavors.

Your role will be well-defined, accompanied by clear responsibilities, and you'll serve as the direct point of contact for clients. Every project you undertake will present fresh challenges, involve new stakeholders, and introduce various complexities. The impact of your contributions on our business will be truly transformative. As the Madrid office will in start-up mode for the first few years, you will be given considerably more responsibility than in other consultancies. Furthermore, Zanders offers a broad range of internal trainings, knowledge sharing opportunities and personal development.

**Skills to be successful**
- University degree in in Econometrics, Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, Statistics, or related topics.
- At least 3 years of experience in the field of credit risk within financial institutions or consulting firms.
- Strong interest in developing, designing and performing the quantification of credit risk.
- Knowledge on best market practices, current topics and regulation such as CRD, CRR and EBA Guidelines.
- Regulatory understanding and preferably experience with TRIM missions, IMIs, OSIs etc.
- Knowledge of Excel and programming tools (e.g. Python, MATLAB, SAS, R).
- Ambitious, entrepreneurial, innovative, analytical thinker.
- Exceptional analytical skills.
- Fluent in English
- Willingness to travel, in particular to the Netherlands, the UK and Switzerland.
