**Descripción**:
The Health Systems Research Group is cross-cutting and addresses both NCDs (principally steatotic liver disease) and infectious diseases (principally viral hepatitis) at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal). ISGlobal is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education. ISGlobal has >550 staff and a broad portfolio in communicable and non-communicable diseases including environmental and climate determinants. The institute applies a multidisciplinary scientific approach ranging from the molecular to the population level. Research is organised in five overarching programmes: Climate, Air Pollution, Nature and Urban Health; Environment and Health over the Lifecourse; Global Viral and Bacterial Infections; Malaria and Neglected Parasitic Diseases, and Maternal Child and Reproductive Health. ISGlobal is accredited with the Severo Ochoa distinction, a seal of excellence of the Spanish Science Ministry.

**What We Are Looking for**:
ISGlobal is seeking a highly organised, detailed-oriented, motivated and experienced health communications officer to join a dynamic and multidisciplinary team, contributing to the Health Systems Research Group’s public health and policy work on liver health.

**Training and experience /Qualifications**:

- Educational background: Relevant bachelors of international relations, public health, marketing or communications, or related field.
- Work background: Relevant and demonstrable experience of 1-2 years in a similar position. They should hold knowledge about EU-funded research and present digital media skills and good working knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft packages. It is also important to show experience coordinating the production and design of communication materials with external providers.

**Specific Requirements**:

- Language: Native speaker or highly proficient in English (oral and written). Fluent in Spanish. Other European languages are a plus.
- Comfortable in an international and multicultural environment
- Able to prioritise tasks from both a direct reporting line (to the principal investigator) but also on a dotted line basis receiving task direction from the programme manager and team researchers on a periodic basis.
- Willing to learn and grow while facing challenges as a learning opportunity
- In-office presence required at least 2 day a week (hybrid works options available upon request)

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Design communications and dissemination strategies (including KPIs), annual tactical plans, editorial and social media plans and calendars in line with the research group and projects’ objectives. It should be tailoured to various stakeholders from multiple disciplines and sectors.
- Contribute to other projects or initiatives, in which the research group may actively participate, by means of written texts or additional communications support
- Act as the main point of contact for communications activities and media outreach, ensuring alignment and coordination with all partners or participants
- Coordinate the production and design of communication materials (websites, newsletters, infographics, videos, podcasts, social media posts, toolkits, etc) making sure these comply with ISGlobal and projects’ guidelines, branding and style
- Prepare quarterly reports on key performance indicators, metrics and insights and recommendations for next steps in line with the communications and overall team strategy.
- Act as the liaison with the pool of external providers
- Provide occasional cross-training and spot-coaching to team members on best practices in communications and dissemination.
- Participate in relevant ISGlobal seminars or workshops.
