About the role:
As an Underwriting Assistant, based in our Barcelona office, you will form part of a dynamic team of professionals that focus on developing our Financial Lines business. You will directly report to the Financial Lines Manager and perform traditional administrative tasks, as well as supporting the team’s business development goals. You will be key in helping to build profitable relationships with brokers and insureds and your role will fully support and comply with the company’s objectives and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Credit Control management-
- Problem-solving accounting/system issues on complex submissions-
- Request new submissions entries to BAC-
- Back-up for Underwriter to Quote and Bind in PEGA-
- E-folders Completion (excluding worksheets)-
- Liaise with marketing for local events/Christmas gifts etc-
- Update CRM info in Outlook Contacts-
- Draft presentations for use by underwriters-
- Prepare reports for underwriters’ meetings/tripsSkills And Competencies Required:
- Fluent in English (high level) and Spanish a must-
- Portuguese a plus-
- (BA or MA) Degree-
- Experience in administrative position-
- Word, Excel and PowerPoint (Expert level)-
