**Our opportunity**

As a Head Accounting Solutions you functionally lead a team of 4 global experts to integrate investment accounting related change, standard setting and champion IAA’s (Investment Administration & Accounting) global Accounting community.

You define best practices, policies and guidelines about all Investment Accounting Reporting related matters in a most standardized and efficient way with main focus on accounting reporting aspects across various asset classes.

You will be responsible for process design, oversight and documentation as well as training of our Center of Excellence staff towards service delivery in compliance with internal and external International Finance Reporting Standards.

You ensure global coordination, consistency and efficiency from an operational end-to-end business process.

**Your role**

**As a Head Accounting Solutions your main responsibilities will involve**
- Acts as a force of global coordination and global process ownership of all Core functional accounting processes in context of traditional and non-traditional asset classes
- Oversees newly establishing investment accounting functions globally and proposes continuous improvement actions
- Fosters knowledge exchange in our community (more than50 people across 6 locations, 24 sessions p.a.) for issue resolutions, handling and change
- Provide close instructions, practical guidance on Accounting Policy and Chart of Account changes, partnering with Group Finance departments such as Accounting Policy Group, Master Data, Group Reporting on operational matters or troubleshooting
- Owner of the IFRS9 methodologies such as Business Model and contractual characteristic test (SPPI) to ensure proper classification and measurement rules
- As a Product owner analyzes new products, ledger set-up to derive accounting and reporting implications across all accounting processes and systems, from subledger to general ledger to consolidation
- Ensures compliant set-up and implementation of a high-quality function and full-service delivery across IAA’s organization with a faster time to account implementation.
- Develops and build good relationships with key stakeholder such as Group IM, APG, Group Consolidation and Reporting., acting as a client relationship manager
- Drives standardization and automation to any extend feasible, measures progress and performance by KPIs
- Maintains process documentation along our documentation standards/ knowledge tools and upskill the CoE experts and communities

**Your Skills and Experience**

**As a Head Accounting Solutions your skills and qualifications will ideally include**:

- Master’s degree in Accounting, Financial Markets&Risks, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, ACCA, CA.Equivalent postgraduate studies CFA, CAIA, FRM be an advantage.
- 7-10 years of experience in investment accounting in a senior role with leadership experience overlooking
- Financial Statements analysis for investment or Fund accounting across all kinds of asset classes
- General ledger and investment sub ledger systems / processes (SAP FI GL/FAM would be an advantage)
- Financial instruments accounting standards implications (e.g. IFRS9, IAS39)
- Advanced understanding of financial markets, products, risks, regulations
- Communication, negotiation and presentation
- Passionate self-working, very result oriented and able to manage multiple priorities
- Analytical and conceptual thinking/ transformation
- Fluent English in written and oral (proficiency level)
- Good base understanding of financial data analysis, business requirement and process engineering, IT affinity
