The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day implementation of site EHS policies and programs to provide a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace at the local level. This position is responsible for overseeing specific EHS programs across a region or at local sites to assure compliance with IQVIA Corporate/Global EHS programs and policies as well as applicable county, state/provincial and related EHS regulations. The EHS Analyst will also champion projects to achieve site goals and objectives.

Essential Functions
- Responsible for overseeing EHS programs at the site level to ensure compliance with IQVIA Corporate EHS policies as well as applicable environmental, health and safety regulatory obligations
- Ensure corrective actions are implemented at each of the sites and documented in response to corporate, sponsor and site audits and reviews.
- Maintain site compliance calendar, ensure all recurring compliance actions are assigned and verify timely completion
- Train large groups regarding safety procedures and governing environmental laws.
- Conduct or coordinate internal site risk assessments, inspections, and audits to proactively identify and assess risk. Assist teams with development and assignment of appropriate CAPAs.
- Ensure corrective actions are implemented at the particular site location and documented in response to corporate, sponsor and site audits and reviews.
- Ensure there are adequate local management of safety resources for the sites (e.g., EHS Committee, safety coordinators, fire marshals, first aiders) and that they receive the appropriate training.
- Identify and develop training needs and ensure the delivery of appropriate training programs (e.g., risk assessors, safety coordinators, new hire/induction safety training) to ensure individuals at the sites comply with existing EHS requirements applicable to that particular site.
- Work with senior site/country management to ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken on identified health, safety and environmental hazards or potential hazards.
- Assist investigation teams after recordable incidents to conduct RCAs and develop CAPAs. Ensure the following actions are completed
- Assist in ensuring compliance to SOPs in IQVIA EHS Management System or their more stringent regional equivalents
- Support the Committee Chairperson in the management of the committee.
- Collate, report, monitor, and manage the site/country EHS key performance indicators, in line with Corporate EHS objectives.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree Working regulatory knowledge and knowledge of environmental and safety laws within multiple jurisdictions; Experience in a multiple-site EHS role Req
- 2-3 years’ relevant experience including in a site EHS role.
- Working regulatory knowledge and knowledge of environmental and safety laws within multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience in a multiple-site EHS role.
- Equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Good organization and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills (training/presentation,communication).
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients.
- Certified Safety Professional and/or Certified Industrial Hygienist (or equivalent certification in country or jurisdiction) or eligible for certification.
