As a Business Analyst, you will own the Discovery phase within our software release cycle. You will thoroughly prepare new features or enhancements for our IP Management System IPfolio. You will then collaborate with Product Owners to deliver world-class business software to our client base.

About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
- Excellent knowledge of Intellectual Property (IP) or a legal background 5+ years (Paralegal, IP Operations, Business Analyst, etc.)
- A general business knowledge and/or coursework, plus a curiosity to continuously build that knowledge
- At least 5+ years using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Additional Relevant Experience
- Prior experience or interest in learning about the Salesforce Platform
- A business analysis qualification or proven experience would be an advantage
- Language - Native fluency in any other language is a plus
- Business analysis software packages

What will you be doing in this role?

The Business Analyst will work with clients from all industries and of all sizes. This could be a small Silicon Valley based startup to multi-national blue-chip companies.
- Document client requirements effectively and accurately, showing the difference between needs and wants
- Assist the Product team with implementation workshops, including requirements gathering; workshop setup; analysis and problem resolution
- Attend, and be an active participant in, internal and external meetings with regards to client implementation projects
- Assist end users with software issues and escalate where appropriate

- Ability to communicate and collaborate with customers and internal teams to analyze information needs and functional requirements
- Effectiveness at documenting business process requirements using various methods such as interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis
- Ability to assist with information analysis gathered from multiple sources, turn information into general understanding, and learn to distinguish between users wants and true needs
- Assist in the completion of workflow and functionality gap analyses
- Assist in coordinating business units, technology teams and support teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills

About the Team

This role will report into the Head of IPFolio and will work closely alongside one other Business Analyst in the team whilst also collaborating with the Product Managers/Owners within the team.

Hours of Work

This role is 40 hours per week and we offer a full-time permanent contract. Hybrid, going to our central office 2-3 times per week
