As **Technician B Fermentation & Bioprocessing** you will work for the Global R&D Department at our location in Montmelo. At this site we have a lactic acid and derivative production facility which serves our Sustainable Food Solutions unit as well as our Lactic Acid Specialties unit.

Your main responsibilities as Technician B Fermentation & Bioprocessing is to ensure high-quality execution of experiments, tests and analyses to support technical development programs from lab through pilot to implementation. You will build insight, know-how and skills on fermentation processes for lactic acid and other products.

**Responsibilities**:

- Set up and execute experiments in R&D projects together with the senior scientist in CMO.
- Participate in activities that extend from early-stage exploratory work to the interface of lab and pilot-scale production, in which you combine a solid experimental background with a hands-on can-do mentality and a strong drive to deliver.
- Report and present the results during project team meetings.
- Build and maintain lab facilities.
- Share expertise with other functional areas.
- Maintain and transfer knowledge.

**About you**
- 0-3 years of industrial working experience in the field of industrial fermentation
- Preferably experience with developing scaling up and implementing fermentation processes.
- Capable to translate research questions into practical experimental setups.
- Experience in pilot runs and plant processing is considered a plus.
- Willingness to travel.
- Fluency in English.
- Good communication skills and intercultural sensitivity.
