With more than 14,000 employees across more than 30 countries, we develop, manufacture, and distribute products and solutions for the safeguarding of payment processes, identities, connectivity, and data. **G+D Mobile Security**, the world leader in secure telecommunications systems via SIM / eSIM, is looking for an **Splunk Engineer** in Barcelona.** **The Splunk Engineer job is a technical job to support day-to-day operations in our on-prem data center in all service delivery scenarios, primarily in regards to service requests, changes, incident and problem resolutions, and facilitation of second-line support in productive environments as well as monitoring new initiatives. He/She works closely with other Data Center Management team members, as well as other global teams in order to ensure the service is running with high performance and improve the current processes by correlating, capturing, and indexing real-time data, from which alerts, dashboards, graphs, reports are created.

**Responsibilities**:

- Keep automating and continuously work on improvements for our Splunk deployments and processes.
- Maintenance/managing the SPLUNK infrastructure as well as creating new dashboards and drive further improvements.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Splunk performance issues.
- Perform needed or on demand health checks of services/solutions.
- Provide input regarding future and continuous needs in regards to new investments to maintain existing and future services to Data Center Manager.
- Meet compliance and information security requirements in Service Operations
- Evaluate, improve and add applicable work instructions.

**Knowledge and skills**:

- Licensed in IT or equivalent.
- Know-how in Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, and data bases (Oracle, SQL server).
- Technical skillset in SPLUNK, using Splunk based indexed data for reporting and Monitoring.
- Ability to install and administer/manage Splunk nodes.
- Analytical skillset to build suitable of so called data input to collect data.
- Knowledge & keen to explore other monitoring technologies such as Prometheus/Grafana is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and Service Management.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Solution and process improvement oriented mindset.
- Being an excellent team player.
- Ability to adapt to changes.
- Ability to follow given processes, procedures and work instructions.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
