**What you’ll be responsible for as Group Data Protection Officer at albelli-Photobox Group**

At albelli-Photobox Group we are committed to ensuring that all of our customers' data is protected, and that our work complies with data protection legislation.

As our Data Protection Officer you will lead the Data Protection & Compliance team andl ultimately be responsible for helping us in our management of potentially sensitive information.

You and your team will carry out regular internal security audits, act as the main point of contact between the newly formed Albelli-Photobox Group and the data protection authorities and lead on other duties set out by GDPR across the group.

**The impact you’ll make**:

- Act as the primary point of contact within the Group for members of staff, regulators, and any relevant public bodies on issues related to data protection
- Ensure the company’s policy is in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and the ePrivacy Directive
- Evaluate the existing data protection framework and identify areas of non or partial compliance and rectify any issues
- Devise training plans and provide data protection advice and support for members of staff
- Inform and advise the business on all matters related to data protection
- Promote a culture of data protection compliance across all units of the organisation
- Provide expert advice and educate employees on important data compliance requirements
- Draft new and/or harmonise and amend existing internal data protection policies, guidelines, and procedures across the Group in consultation with key stakeholders
- Hold training with staff members across different business units who are involved in data handling or processing
- Create common approach to Data Privacy training for new starters and annual training for all employees

**Must Have Experience**:

- Minimum of five years experience working in data protection, providing business leaders with pragmatic, independent advice
- Expertise in UK and European data protection laws and practices including an in-depth understanding of the GDPR and ePrivacy Directive
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage sensitive and confidential information
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail
- Great interpersonal skills and ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of OneTrust

**Nice to Have Experience**:

- A recognised data protection certification such as CIPP/E or CIPP/M
