The incorporation of the selected person would be made to the Electrical Storage department of the research center.

Developing an attractive research agenda in the field of LCA and techno-economic analysis.

Creation of open source LCA models of energy storage and hydrogen tecnologies, linked to renewable energies.

Integration of LCA with energy systems modeling.

Use of data monitored in pilot plants for sustainability indicators.

Collaborations with experimental researchers from the CIIAE and other research centers.

Acquisition of competitive funding, both private and public, e.g. PhD students and postdocs.

Successful orientation of doctoral, postdoctoral and master's students, that is, who meet their own requirements.

Writing publication as first author (e.g. 1 article per year in high impact journals).

Project management and project administration (internal and external), also for the department and CIIAE.

To be valued:
Have been Principal Investigator in regional/national/European or direct contract projects.

Having supervised doctoral theses and master's final projects

GIS modelling

Knowledge of modeling and optimization of energy systems.

Experience with statistical learning and machine learning models

Valueable knowledge of the Circular Economy of energy storage systems.

Knowledge of Spanish and/or Portuguese

It's valuable to have obtained Marie Curie fellowships or equivalent competitive reserarch contracts

Awards, distinctions or any merit that is consistent with the position described

**Requisitos**
The selected person is required to have:
PhD in Chemistry Engineer, Chemistry Sciences, Industrial Engineering or equivalent / PhD Physics / PhD Natural Sciences / PhD Industrial Ecology / PhD Environmental Sciences or similar
- Professional experience in:

- At least 2 years of postdoctoral experience
- LCA projects and/or techno-economic analysis minimun 2 years.
- Participation in at least 4 European projects (H2020, FP7, etc.) or equivalent national projects, or equivalent experience in a private company.

Specific techniques:

- Excellent analytical skills and experience in LCA (OpenLCA, Brightway 2, SimaPro, Ecoinvent, etc.). But the work will mainly be on open source Brightway2
- Experience in techno-economic analysis (e.g. LCOE) and circular economy
- Previous experience with the Input-Output method
- Statistical skills, e.g. statistical testing and regression
- General purpose language programming experience (any language, but work will primarily be in Python an Matlab).

Minimun participation in 4 research projects, European, national or business.

Minimun stay of 1 year (in total)

Excellent oral and written skills in English

Cross-cutting competences:

- Ability to lead a team towards funding and objectives.
- Commitment to open science in terms of research methods, data and publications
- Proven experience with industrial collaborations and/or previous experience working in industry
- Experience in collaborating with other colleagues from the same department, centre and other institutions.
