Senior VAT Analyst

Key Responsibilities
- Review of VAT returns and other indirect tax related reports prepared by team members and prepare VAT returns in case needed.
- Ensure quality and legal compliance in VAT by random checks of VAT returns and other tax declarations before submission to local tax authorities.
- Regular feedback and strong support to the team members to maintain the high quality of reports and grow the team’s tax technical skills.
- Ensure the VAT control framework is maintained for SOX, Internal Audit, and external VAT inspection.
- Oversee a month-end calendar - VAT Account reconciliations, journal entries and cash management.
- Participation and collaboration in variety of projects (eg onboarding, supporting e-invoicing, implementation of new legal requirements...).
- Providing ad-hoc VAT analysis based on requests from local teams, auditors, compliance teams.
- Training various teams on VAT fundamentals and changes.
- Identifying the opportunities for process and technology improvements.

**Job Requirements**:
Qualifications:

- Postgraduate or bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or any other relevant discipline.
- Strong knowledge of value added tax and at least 4-5 years of experience in VAT compliance in a multi-national or similar environment.
- Business proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Good knowledge of MS office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
