Fall Creek is creating a world with better blueberries through its friendly, collaborative team spread across the globe. To help us accomplish this, we are seeking a qualified **Farm Manager**. This position will be located in **Seville, Spain**.

The Fall Creek** Farm Manager** **is responsible for managing plant production at the nursery. This includes plant production, crop maintenance, irrigation, packing, infrastructure and equipment maintenance, labor, and expenses. The Farm Manager also ensures the facility and operations are brand-compliant.

The Farm Manager reports to the Operations Manager and directly supervises the Cultivation Leads, Team Leaders, Supervisors and other employees at the nursery.

**What you'll do at Fall Creek**:

- Responsible for managing plant production and horticultural care of the crop which includes transplanting, growing, spacing, weeding, shearing, grading (quality control), packing, and disease monitoring and control. This position is also responsible of the maintenance team that takes care and of the general maintenance of facilities and equipment using in house resources or third party service providers. Ensures adherence to standard processes.
- Manages the potting operations. This includes ensuring targets are met, assisting Team Leaders in getting all materials needed for planting, and overseeing the correct layout of plants.
- Responsible for plant inventory at the nursery. Schedules inventory counts. Ensures inventory records are timely and accurate. Collaborates with the accounting department in resolving discrepancies. Immediately communicates potential problems or issues.
- Assists in the coordination of the movement of product and materials between other FCFN locations.
- Provides ready dates and other crop data to assist the shipping and sales functions. Works closely with the order fulfillment department to ensure complete and accurate orders. Promotes collaboration and good communication between the production and sales departments.
- Schedules and manages production labor needs in a cost-efficient manner. Promotes a culture of teamwork, quality, and performance. Responsible for providing a legally compliant and respectful workplace for all employees and people performing work at the nursery. Ensures that staffing levels are adequate to meet the production plan at the nursery. Maintains collaborative relationships with labor contractors to ensure an adequate labor pool.
- Responsible for supervising employees. This includes training, coaching, and developing employees in their positions. Conducts goal setting and performance reviews as part of the performance management program. Participates in team building activities. Establishes and implements required training programs.
- Assists with developing the department budget and operating within the approved amounts.
- Develops, supports and recommends continuous improvements in efficiencies, mechanization, innovation, and product quality. May attend trade shows and conferences to learn about new industry trends and vendors.

**What you bring to Fall Creek**:

- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in horticulture or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Requires 3+ year’s production manufacturing experience preferably working in a nursery environment, with both container and field production.
- Minimum of 2+ years in a supervisory or management position with proven ability to manage, develop and mentor staff.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively present information in formal and informal settings.
- Knowledge of the English & Spanish languages are essentials, as this is an international team.
- Ability to develop clear action plans and drive processes with many interdependencies.
- Experience working with ERP systems preferred.
