Associate Mission Design Director- Aaa Game

One Player Mission is delighted to be working with a AAA video games developer based in gorgeous Barcelona, Spain, working on a new open world game IP.
As Associate Mission Director, you will be a key part in the process of providing players with quests to undertake, puzzles to solve and goals to accomplish in an immersive world experience.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Relevant experience in mission design leadership in the production of large high-quality games.
- Shipped AAA titles in a relevant role.
- An innovative, collaborative, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Exceptional organisational, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work with pre-established constraints.
- Great communicational skills
- Critical thinking and curiosity.
**RESPONSIBLITIES**:
- Collaborate with other directors to define, establish, and communicate the overall game vision.
- Own the execution and guidelines for the game’s mission content.
- Help shape and assess the gameplay experience in terms of flow, rhythm, tension, pacing and variety.
- Coordinate and oversee mission designers as they bring content from concept to playable.
- Continuously collaborate with level designers during prototyping to explore and experiment new design opportunities.
- Create, regularly update and maintain mission design documentation that will serve as a reference during development.
- Adapt to technical and production constraints, reworking your strategy and design when and as often as needed.
- Provide design coaching for other mission designers and train them on tools, techniques, and best practices.
- Help to create a safe environment which allows for open dialogue and encourages new creative ideas.
- Identify key hires for the mission design team and take an active role in the recruitment process.
