**FUNCTIONS**: Our client is an independent power producer that develops and manages renewable energy power plants with efficient management and stable yield, especially in Italy, Portugal and Spain. MAIN FUNCTIONS: - Manage the owner’s engineer (OE) on each site, ensuring project deadlines, budget and installation are met in accordance with the requirements of the projects. - Oversight and point of contact for construction activities across the company. - Ensure owner’s engineer is monitoring adherence to site and work plans by EPC, BOP and grid connection contractors. - Supervision of contractors and site health and safety and detecting and informing of on non-compliance. - Supervision of QA reports (material delivery, installation, commissioning) - Oversee OE and other specialists (as required) through the commissioning process of each plant. - Manage the takeover procedure following commissioning. - Ensure documentation and as built information is received and filed internally as appropriate (DMS, server, etc...). - Supervision of the budget for each project with the internal financial team. - Oversee the production of the punch list and oversee remedial works to close punch list items. - Review and critique of contractor and OE reports. - Manage construction contracts (EPC, BOP, ancillary services). - Manage interaction and flow of information to lenders technical advisor (LTA) and lenders. - Manage flow of information to off-takers (PPA, etc). - Manage variation requests, extension of time requests, and liquidated damages positions. - Report internally on construction status, progress, issues, budget, cashflow and risks. - Report externally as required to stakeholders, regulatory and authorities. - Ensure new plants are developed with correct data communication protocols and integrated into portfolio monitoring platforms. - Ensure ESG requirements and opportunities are met by the projects, and detecting and informing on non-compliance. WHAT THIS JOB TAKES TO BE SUCCESSFUL: - Construction and operational experience (either direct or through asset management) of utility scale solar PV plants. - Strong effective communication skills. - Strong time-management skills and demonstrated efficiency in providing technical support on multiple concurrent activities. - Excellent project management skills. - Health and safety experience or training (especially around solar PV construction and hazard identification). - In depth knowledge of the construction of utility solar PV plants, testing and commissioning procedures. - Previous experience managing contracts such as EPC, BOP, O&M and consultant contracts. - Dynamic ability to prioritise workload, based on various drivers (for example, health & safety, revenue expectations, plant integrity, value protection). - Multinational experience and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across diverse regions and cultures. - Strong presentation skills. - Meeting management skills - Solid IT Skills (MS Office, MS Project). - Fluent English required. - Additional European languages are a desirable (Italian, Spanish, Portuguese,) - Must have the right to work in the EU.
