**Junior Underwriter Energy & Construction, Iberia**

You will join the Spanish Property, Energy and Construction Underwriting team interacting with professionals Underwriters and technical experts to grow your potential in AXA XL, gaining insights and professionalism in a vibrant organization that cares about its people and makes inclusion and wellbeing a priority.
You will be responsible for working within authority limits on assignments reflecting the degree of technical skills and coordination under broad management direction. Key responsibilities will involve underwriting business in line with the business plan; assisting the planning and forecasting process; monitoring aggregate exposure within agreed limits; monitoring premium income to ensure it remains within agreed limits; maintaining awareness of all claims advised; supporting and providing input on settlement of claims advised; building and maintaining relationships with brokers and clients; supporting the design and structure of risks; identifying and driving new product development opportunities.
This is a regulated role under the Central Bank of Ireland’s Fitness and Probity regime.

What will your essential responsibilities include?
- Underwrite, manage and service a renewal book and produce new business.
- Analysis and evaluation of risks.
- Negotiate with producers to achieve profit objectives.
- Maintain expertise with the products, services, priorities and targeted markets.
- Support the business planning and forecasting process; monitor financial exposure and premium income to ensure it remains within set limits.
- Maintain awareness of all claims advised while supporting and providing input on settlement of claims.
- Identify and drive new product development opportunities.
This position reports to the Energy Underwriting Manager, Spain.

We’re looking for someone who has these qualifications and skills:
- University´s Degree - Engineering
- A few years of experience whether in Insurance, Energy or Construction markets and technical knowledge and proven skills in the sector
- Good English and Spanish command
- Ability to respond to a changing environment with flexibility and innovation
- Interest and curiosity to grow as a professional and expert Underwriter in an international environment
