**CHIEF FUNDRAISING & COMMUNICATION OFFICER**

- **Compensation**: €2000 - 3000 monthly net (_On top of the fixed salary, the present role will include a commission fee package developed based on the flat rate percentage of the fundraised success rate achieved._)

**Job description**

Still I Rise, an international NGO, works towards development and the realization of humanitarian projects aiming at providing education and support to refugee children and youth, is looking for a _Chief Fundraising & Communication Officer_ to join the Executive Team at Still I Rise. **The selected profile will be responsible for overseeing three key units - fundraising, advocacy, creative and communication - and ensuring they work together to achieve the organization's fundraising goals. You will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising and communication strategies to support the organization's mission and goals. You will lead the development of the organization's annual fundraising plan and provide strategic direction to ensure the achievement of the organization's fundraising targets.**

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Fundraising Unit**:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive annual fundraising plan that includes donor acquisition, donor retention, and major gift solicitation strategies.
- Lead the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of major donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations.
- Provide leadership and support to the fundraising team to ensure the successful implementation of all fundraising campaigns and initiatives.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all donations and fundraising activities in the organization's donor database.
- Develop and implement a donor recognition and stewardship plan to ensure donors feel appreciated and engaged with Still I Rise.
- Conduct prospect research to identify new potential major donors and funding opportunities.
- Create and manage a grants calendar to ensure timely submission of grant proposals and reports.
- Develop and implement a planned giving program to secure future gifts for the organization.
- Conduct regular analysis of fundraising results and adjust strategies as needed.

**Advocacy Unit**:

- Develop and implement advocacy strategies to advance the organization's mission and goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including policymakers, advocacy groups, and other influencers.
- Represent the organization in key advocacy forums, including legislative hearings and community events.
- Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments and provide guidance to the organization's leadership team.
- In collaboration with the Advocacy Director, develop and implement a grassroots advocacy program to mobilize supporters and build a strong advocacy network.
- Develop and implement a media relations strategy to increase visibility and influence.
- Develop and implement a crisis communication plan to manage potential reputational risks.

**Creative/Communication Unit**:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive communication plan that supports the organization's fundraising and advocacy efforts.
- Oversee the development of all marketing and communication materials, including website content, social media content, and print materials.
- Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication channels.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to the creative team to ensure the successful implementation of all communication initiatives.
- Develop and implement a communication strategy to expand Still I Rise online/offline presence and engagement.
- Conduct regular audience research to understand and meet the communication needs of key stakeholders.
- Develop and implement a storytelling strategy to effectively communicate Still I Rise’s impact and mission.
- Develop and implement a visual identity and brand guidelines to ensure consistent and effective branding across all communication channels.

**Leadership**:

- Provide leadership and direction to the fundraising, advocacy, and creative units to ensure the achievement of the organization's mission and goals.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration between the units to maximize fundraising and communication opportunities.
- Recruit, manage, and develop a high-performing team of professionals in each unit.
- Work collaboratively with the CEO and other members of the organization's leadership team to ensure effective coordination and alignment of all organizational activities.

**Essential Skills & Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as nonprofit management, marketing, or communications.
- At least 10 years of experience in fundraising, advocacy, or communications, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
