- FSE_1690541976Piper Maddox are working with an Electric Motorcycle business that is quickly making its way to becoming regarded as the go-to Motorcycle company in the EV sector. The business has been operating for just over 4 years and has already established itself as a performance leader within its category and has just begun to deliver its products to customers. Their ambition is to shake up the motorcycle industry with sustainable products outperforming its competitors in both performance and innovation.
They're now brining their cutting-edge hardware and technologies into the mass production phase and to support this, they're looking for a Functional Safety Manager to join the team. This position going to be crucial for the business to develop other products whilst making sure all technology is industry compliant.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead all functional safety activities for serial production programs
- Work closely with HW and SW development teams to ensure that all products are ISO26262 & other functional safety focuses are standard compliant
- Define the functional and technical safety concepts
- Ensure all departments are adhering to functional safety requirements
- Participate in meetings to discuss future vehicle architecutres
- Participate in customer meetings to support safety related discussions
- Responsible for the safety related analysis (FTA, FMEA, DFA, and FMEDA), interpreting the results and proposing solutions for the identified weaknesses

Desired Skills and Experience:

- 3+ years implementing ISO26262 + others into designs
- Electronic or Electrical Engineeing Degree
- Experience in Embedded System, HW, or SW development or testing
- Knowledge and execution of analysis methods like FTA, DFA, FMEA, etc.
- Ability to develop a framework and processes to ensure that going forward all designs are ISO26262 compliant
