**Job Title: Grit Blaster**

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate grit blasting equipment to clean, strip, and prepare surfaces for painting, coating, or other finishing processes.
- Inspect surfaces before and after grit blasting to ensure they meet specified cleanliness and roughness standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on grit blasting equipment, ensuring its proper functionality, and addressing any issues promptly.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment and safe handling of abrasive materials.
- Manage and handle abrasive materials, ensuring proper storage and disposal in compliance with environmental regulations.
- Maintain a high standard of work quality and efficiency in grit blasting operations.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Grit Blaster Operator or similar role.
- Ability to interpret job specifications and work orders.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to achieving specified surface preparation standards.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification or training in abrasive blasting techniques.
- Previous experience in industrial or marine settings is advantageous.
