In this context, robotics is a self-evident solution. Yet, commercial kitchen robotization have been very limited. To overcome the limitations of most robotic solutions, we must go beyond the current exciting cooking paradigms. Not by teaching robots how to cook like humans do, but by focusing on flexibility, scalability and reliability.
**What we're Building**
It’s time to take robotic kitchens to the next level At REMY Robotics, we’re building a new cooking framework, combining adaptive robotics to culinary engineering.
Our robotics kitchens use software-defined and adaptive robots, computer vision, artificial intelligence and mechatronics that can ensure constant quality, adaptability to any recipe, and operational effectiveness across an endless variety of food production scenarios.
Our solution is commercially proven: we operate our own B2C food brands across delivery platforms and serve customers daily and are now starting to partner with different actors of the food industry as a technology provider.
Our ambition is to power commercial kitchens of multiple partners in the food service industry.
**Who we are**
At REMY, we like to do things a bit differently. Unlike traditional software products, our robots exist in the physical world: this means the scope of our products and projects are wide-ranging, from the highly technical to the physical, such as identifying and implementing appropriate food packaging solutions for our customer-facing hot food products.
This distinctive model, combined with our existing team of experienced, highly-driven world-class tech, culinary and operational employees, removes the bureaucracy from our business, allowing us to focus on what will make a real impact to REMY’s products.

**About the role**:
As a Food Lab Intern, you will play a key role in supporting our research and development efforts by performing experiments focused on the cooking patterns of robotic ovens and exploring the properties of various foods. Your primary responsibilities will involve conducting experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and meticulously logging results. This internship offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced, innovative environment, making it an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates interested in food science, culinary technology, or a related field.
As such, your key responsibilities will include:
- Perform Experiments on Robotic Ovens:
- Conduct controlled cooking experiments using robotic ovens to study and analyze cooking patterns, temperature distribution, and cooking times.
- Monitor the performance of robotic ovens under various conditions and document any anomalies or deviations from expected results.
- Data Collection and Analysis:
- Collect, organize, and analyze data from experiments to identify trends, patterns, and correlations.
- Use statistical tools and software to interpret experimental results and generate reports.
- Maintain Accurate Lab Records:
- Log all experimental procedures, observations, and results in detail, ensuring accuracy and reproducibility.
- Assist in maintaining and updating the lab’s database of experimental data.
- Collaborate with Team Members:
- Work closely with food scientists, engineers, and culinary experts to design and execute experiments.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss experimental findings and suggest improvements to protocols.
- Ensure Lab Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal guidelines.
- You are currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
- You have a strong interest in food technology and innovation.
- You have a basic understanding of laboratory techniques and data analysis.
- You have proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software tools (e.g., Excel, R, Python) for data analysis.
- You have excellent attention to detail, with strong organizational and documentation skills.
- You have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- You have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
