**Summary**:

- Celestica, the Global Manufacturer of Electronical Components, is seeking a Buying Indirect Materials to support the implementation of a brilliant, world-class manufacturing environment for current and future projects spanning advanced concept and production development._

**_This is an interim position to cover paternity leave_**_._
- During the interim, you will become part of a world class team that is a recognized as an Aerospace & Defense and HeathTech Center of Excellence for Celestica’s Europe region that also provides New Product Introduction (NPI) and Engineering Services for multiple global customers, providing full support throughout the entire life-cycle of their products._

**Detailed Description**:

- Incumbents are fully qualified to execute job/role accountabilities working independently on most aspects of the job. Work is performed within established professional standards and practices. Tasks are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required to complete assignments independently and to determine the best methods to follow to complete assignments. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results may have a negative impact on the divisions/department’s operations, schedules, and/or performance goals. Works under general Supervision. Situations not covered by standard processes, procedures and methods are referred to manager or expert resource. May demonstrate work methods to new employees. Builds internal and external relationships, with emphasis on those that facilitate the achievement of job accountabilities, such as relationships with suppliers and internal customers._
- Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:_
- _Maintains local and/or regional responsibility for a specific indirect commodity or group of indirect commodities for price/value determination, sourcing, negotiations, terms & conditions and supplier relationship development, working independently._
- _Quotes and negotiates all indirect materials and services under the assigned commodities according to Indirect Procurement process/procedures._
- _Identifies opportunities in the assigned commodities for increased value proposition._
- _Analyze the market and recommends alternative suppliers where applicable;_
- _Negotiate services & purchase agreements terms and conditions for the proper conduct of business;_
- _Evaluate suppliers performance and recommend solutions for cost savings/avoidance, on time deliveries and overall quality_
- _Supports internal customers to resolve quality, serviceability and performance related issues for products or bid activities._
- _Issue purchase orders in accordance with company procedures_
- _Manage purchase orders, follows compliance with the terms and conditions set forth in these orders;_
- _Generate reports related to the position_
- _Receives assignments in the form of tasks and goals and follows established guidelines, procedures and policies to meet individual and department objectives_
- _Works within established professional standards and practices_

**Knowledge/Skills/Competencies**:

- _Working knowledge of the marketplace conditions for the area of specialization including industry pricing, technology and supply/demand trends._
- _Good negotiation, communication and presentation skills_
- _Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines_
- _Good command of written and spoken English;_
- _Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office;_
- _Organized and result oriented person with the ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion_
- _Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines_

- _Minimum 3 years relevant experience on a similar position;_

**Typical Education**:

- _University graduate/ Bachelor’s degree in related field._
