B2Space is looking for an Aerospace Stress and Thermal Lead is responsible for analyzing and designing aerospace components and systems for their ability to withstand mechanical stresses and thermal loads. They use advanced engineering tools and software to perform stress analysis, thermal analysis, and fatigue analysis of aerospace structures and components to ensure that they meet the required safety, reliability, and performance criteria.
The responsibilities of an Aerospace Stress and Thermal Engineer may include:
Conducting stress analysis and thermal analysis of aerospace structures and components using computer-aided design (CAD) tools and finite element analysis (FEA) software.
Developing and executing test plans for aerospace components and systems to evaluate their performance under different stress and thermal loading conditions.
Collaborating with other engineers and designers to optimize the design of aerospace components and systems for their intended function and performance.
Analyzing and interpreting test data to evaluate the performance of aerospace components and systems, and to identify potential issues or areas for improvement.
Preparing technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate analysis results and design recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
**The job requires**:
- A strong background in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, and materials science, as well as experience in stress and thermal analysis techniques.
- Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years experience in the field
Location: Hybrid remote in Newport (UK) or Burgos (Spain)
**Salary**: 35,000.00€-45,000.00€ per year
