**Location**

The Job Holder will be based on a full time basis within the Regional Company premises located in Madrid. However, the Job Holder may travel from time to time in the countries of the regions within the scope of the Regional Company: Europe, Eurasia and Latin America (the **“Regions” **).

**Operational context / Description of activities**

Thales international organization’s mission in the Regions is to foster and manage growth of Thales presence in all the countries of these Regions for all Thales group activities in the aerospace, transport, space, defence and security domains.

In this context, Thales marks its presence by the creation of local entities meant for acting as local contractors and system integrators or meant for acting as offshore vehicles supporting Thales Operational Units initiatives for exporting their solutions to customers in these Regions.

Regional business activities are driven by a dynamic demand characterized by a sharp competition and growing customers’ requirements in terms of quality, systems products and services sophistication, delivery time and prices, industrial cooperation and financing schemes. Customers, in the private and public sectors, are very diversified and include ministries, municipalities, operators in the transport, oil & gas, airport, airlines, civil works domains, etc.

Business activities are conducted through the local presence of dedicated organizations (representative offices, branches, subsidiaries and JVs).

The Job Holder will address the activities of all these organizations. The Job Holder will be a key element in the implementation of the New World project, and as such, will contribute to the evolution of the Thales Group organization as well as of its way of working, in line with Ambition 10, in order to take into consideration the evolutions of its environment, new laws & regulations and the best ethical and governance practices.

**Job description**
- The Job Holder will be involved in 2 main activities
- Business Control and finance report of the Regional Company
- Business Advisors and Key Industrial Partners management
- Business Control

Working in close contact with various stakeholders in the Regional Company environment, the Job Holder will be in charge of the monthly closing activities of the RC (accruals, monthly result analysis, Magnitude & Anaplan reports). In that respect, the Job Holder organizes monthly closing reviews with the Finance Director and the Chief Accountant.

The Job Holder will insure a close monitoring of the RC revenue (quarterly invoicing, bonus & support invoicing, various recharges) and will follow cash-in and aging balances.

The Job Holder will be a key interlocutor of Thales Spain in the frame of the shared services agreement between the RC and Thales Spain for all related matters (accounting, treasury, human resources, reporting and taxes).

The Job Holder will be responsible for the approval and correct allocation of all expenses recorded in the RC books (suppliers’ invoices, employees’ expenses claims). The Job Holder will insure a close follow-up of the RC fixed assets in liaison with Thales Spain accounting department.

Whenever required, the Job Holder will be involved in internal audit of foreign entities (representation offices or subsidiaries) directly reporting to the RC. The Job Holder may also be involved in specific matters related to regions entities affecting the RC finance.

The Job Holder will be an active contributor to the budget building and the budgetary control activities.
- Business Advisors and Key Industrial Partners management

The Regional Company is in charge, among other responsibilities, of qualifying and selecting Business Advisors and Key Industrial Partners under a strict process with reference to best practices and ethics rules.

The Job Holder will contribute actively to this qualification process. The Finance department of the RC is responsible of the financial analysis of the Business Advisors and Key Industrial Partners accounts. Under the responsibility of the Finance Director of the RC, the Job Holder will be in charge of analysing the economic performance of those partners, their financial robustness and financial capability to deliver services and to participate to Thales projects.
