**What do we do?**
FOSSA has verticalized the manufacturing process of satellites, space operations and ground segment services, with an operations and production centre in Madrid together with a global network of satellites in orbit and satellite control stations.
FOSSA is combining technology miniaturization with mass production techniques to launch a network of 80 satellites to orbit. FOSSA launches a higher number of distributed satellite constellations at a fraction of the cost of a traditional single satellite. Lower satellite costs and shorter development times allow the use of more cutting-edge technology which is competitive with existing solutions.
**Who are we looking for?**
We are currently looking for a Mechanical & Thermal Systems Engineer to join our Mechanical & Thermal engineering team. With a strong technical background, this person will be responsible of maintaining the technical solution coherence between the different engineering departments, reporting directly to the Engineering Director. He/she will be in contact with the rest of the engineering departments systems engineers to work in coordination with them, on multiple projects. You will have technical and management responsibilities, for which you will need to have hard and soft skills. FOSSA works with a roll-your-sleeve mentality and every part of the organization is extremely hand-on with the software and hardware.

**Responsibilities**:
- Definition and introduction of new systems engineering directives and standards, responsible for its continuous iteration and adaptation.
- Department representative in multi-departmental systems meetings.
- Responsible for CAD design, system engineering and updating.
- Designs iteration historical.
- Mechanical (AIT) Assembly, Integration and Testing Planning and Execution
- Periodic reports to the Director of Engineering.
- TVAC, Vibration, Shock Testing Design and Execution
**Profile requirements**:
- Graduate in Mechanical, Aerospace engineering or similar.
- At least 2 years of professional experience on Mechanical engineering.
- Deep knowledge on CAD design tools.
- Experience on testing campaigns following NASA/ESA testing standards.
- Knowledge on thermal analysis and thermal solutions implementations.
- Technical team coordination skills.
- Full professional competence in English (C1+)
**Nice to have**:
- Having developed personal related projects.
- Demonstrable interest on space sector activities.
- Experience working on clean room environment.
- 3D Printing (PLA and resin, for rapid prototyping).
