**_Nuclear Operations Engineer_**

**_Team Overview_**
- The Nuclear Operations (NucOps) team at Westinghouse is an industry leader supporting operating nuclear power plants worldwide, including Control Room Operators, Operating Procedure Writers and Reactor Engineers. Once you join us, you will be working on the new generation of reactors like the AP300 SMR and eVinci microreactor, the new fleet of AP1000® and the operating fleet from all over the world. Building up your skills based on actual operating plant experience combined with advanced plant design will be a major accelerator for your career in the nuclear industry._
- NucOps has supported the commissioning of PWRs since the beginning of the commercial nuclear power industry and plays a vital role in plant operations today. About 75% of our members have qualified for reactor operator roles and you could be the next one Our experience as reactor operators is key to defining and improving how nuclear power plants are run in control rooms worldwide through operations-focused plant design and operating procedure development._
**_Your Day-to-Day:_**
- When you join the NucOps team, you'll find a career that's as dynamic as it is diverse._
- _Our operations team collaborates with plant designers and system engineers to define the best and safest way to operate nuclear plants._
- _You will use your knowledge about integrated plant operations to develop or update the way control room operators run plants with operating procedures._
- _You will then validate various scenarios in control room simulators, before they are implemented in plants worldwide._
- _Your scope will include the operating fleet (in Spain but also worldwide) and the next generation of nuclear plants (SMRs and microreactors), giving you learning and development opportunities in both worlds._
**_Who You Are:_**
- **_Work Experience:_**_ Someone who held an SRO/RO operator license or was a qualified SRO/RO instructor or someone with extensive new plant testing role (preop and startup testing). Prior operating procedure writing experience will be favorably considered._
- **_Fluent in Spanish and English_**
- **_Top Performer:_**_ Someone who demonstrates excellence and stands apart from your peers. Someone who performs well under pressure and can easily integrate multiple inputs from many stakeholders._
**_Work Location:_** _Presence in our Madrid or Tarragona headquarters is preferred but remote work will be considered._
