We are currently looking for a Permanent investment Accountant to join us at our facility in **Asturias, Spain.**

**This is a hybrid working role, and will require you to be in the office for 3 days per week.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Permanent investment and operating lease accounting
- To perform reconciliations and review reconciliations.
- To execute and engage on all internal control activities & SOX controls defined within the function.
- To drive and facilitate interactions with internal /external customers and third parties (corporate/ local & regional finance/ plant accountants).
- Preparation and deliver financial reports.
- To participate on internal & external financial audits.
- To provide functional training and support to peers.
- To perform system set up and maintenance of specific systems as required in the functional area.
- To prepare and deliver financial reports to our internal & external customers.
- To perform detailed review, analysis and interpretation of defined processes in the assigned area of work, ensuring accuracy of data and adequate processing and reporting.
- To perform closing activities (roll-forward/ depreciation & amortization/ SAP-CFIN / HFM).
- Consultancies: cost vs. capital questions and any other (accounting) queries.
- Active involvement in projects such as system implementation, S4 Hana, acquisitions, merges

**Key requirements**:

- University degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Economics.
- Fluency in English is a must, other European languages are considered a plus.
- Demonstrate experience in finance/accounting areas, minimum of 2-3 years finance/accounting experience.
- High Computer literate: High PC skills (Outlook / Office), previous experience with SAP will be considered a plus.
- US GAAP experience/ knowledge.
- Strong understanding of Financial Statements. Knowledge in Permanent Investment accounting will be highly valuated.
