Based in Barcelona, you will join the Barcelona key city marketing team. This team will be accountable for:
- Humanizing our brand through purposeful relationships on the ground with key communities, athletes, and athletes* that move our world forward through movement.
- Engaging members at targeted moments, leveraging our relationships through editorial storytelling, and bringing the magic of Nike to life on the ground for the members who love us the most

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
As the Barcelona Marketing Manager, you will report directly to the Barcelona Brand Marketing Director. This role will be responsible for:
- Identifying the people, communities & organizations that best align to our brand values and can serve as the human face of our brand on the ground in one of our key cities. Then managing these meaningful relationships in a robust yet sustainable fashion.
- Deliver local stories through hyper-local content, storytelling, and inspiration using our relationships that have the potential to inspire global movements.
- Implementing our local Purpose marketing strategy & programs, partnering closely with key local athletes to leverage our combined platforms to make a difference.
- Working with agency partners to implement targeted storytelling to improve our relationships with diverse communities, and drive IRL experiences for our most engaged members through owned and partner channels.
- Agile roles are intended to build the flexibility required in the organization. This role is agile in a few key ways:
- The role goes across all sports performance/lifestyle dimensions, sport & cultural moments, and new areas that may not exist, or we do not support yet. This allows us to be flexible and to remain fully committed to adapting at the pace of our consumers, to ultimately serve them better
- As brand-defining concepts emerge from Global/EMEA, in order to have an impact in the cities that shift trends, this role may complete local extensions of such key concepts.
WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?
Besides working across the full Barcelona Marketing Team, you will also work cross-functionally in the Barcelona office with key partners such as Sports Marketing, SCI, and Consumer Insights in service of our athletes, consumers, and members. And you will of course build positive relationships with external partners - a collection of the faces & organizations that we believe best represent our brand.
WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE:
Essential requirements:
- A minimum of 4 years experience in marketing, with a strong focus on cross-functional marketing.
- Prior experience in the category, brand narrative, or account brand marketing, able to define and understand the full spectrum of the city consumer, and a desire to better connect with them on all dimensions of sports performance and lifestyle
- A proven track record of connecting with our consumers through insight-led execution of cross-functional brand marketing campaigns
- Proven experience identifying, owning, and managing external relationships with individuals and organizations, aligned to Nike’s strategic objectives.
- Prior marketing experience in Barcelona and a demonstrable understanding of the consumer, the city, and Nike’s position within it.
- Being proficient in the Spanish language will be important to effectively own and manage external relationships.
- A desire & willingness to adapt in an agile fashion to our consumers' and organizations’ needs.
