A vacancy for an Aerodynamics Engineer has arisen within Airbus Operations in Getafe Spain. The successful applicant will join the Aerodynamics IGACS department.

**Responsibilities of the job holder**

You will be accountable for the design and analysis of aircraft aerodynamic configuration using theoretical, numerical (CFD) and experimental (wind tunnel & flight test) methods of the line products of Airbus Commercial and Research and Technology projects.

**Your main tasks and responsibilities will range from**:

- Aerodynamic configuration and detailed design of external aerodynamic shapes.
- Aerodynamic analysis using CFD tools, Wind Tunnel and Flight Test data.
- Participate in CAD activities to generate aero shapes, being part of a multidisciplinary constraints negotiations within Airbus (Future Projects, Specific Design, Systems installation.
- Manage CFD and associated post-processing to assess design and build aerodynamic models.
- Manage Wind Tunnel Testing when necessary.
- Ensure Flight Test Preparation, follow-up in telemetry room and data analysis.
- Ensure regular communications to the Programmes and R&T stakeholders.
- Ensure proper aerodynamic support to Production and In Service A/C
- Monitor subcontracted activities if necessary.

**Required skills**
- Applicants must have an aeronautical engineering Master degree
- Experience in geometry generation with CATIA V5
- CFD Experience.
- Programming skills in Python and/or, Matlab
- You show an interest in pioneering the use of the latest technologies such as artificial intelligence, data analytics and model based systems engineering.
- You must have a good level of communication in English.
