Since 2019, and thanks to the support from the European Commission, OpenNebula Systems has been leading the edge computing innovation in Europe, investing heavily in research and open source development, and playing a key role in strategic EU initiatives such as the IPCEI-CIS and the “European Alliance for Industrial Data, Edge and Cloud”.

We are currently looking for an EU Digital Policy Analyst to come and join us in Europe as part of our distributed, fully-remote, international team.

If so, OpenNebula Systems invites you to explore this exciting opportunity. We are seeking for a EU Digital Policy Analyst with great communication skills, willing to engage with senior stakeholders for digital policy discussions, and able to produce policy-related roadmaps, commentaries, and recommendations on topics like cloud, edge computing, and open source technologies.

**Responsibilities**
- Coordinate the publication of policy agendas, whitepapers, roadmaps, and digital strategies within the context of EU-funded projects, offering recommendations to enhance digital policies and their outcomes.
- Act as a representative of OpenNebula Systems in consortia meetings and in various events involving international researchers, industry partners, and EU/MS officials and policy-makers.
- Take the helm in guiding and coordinating those EU initiatives in which we participate, e.g. supporting OpenNebula Systems as the chairing company of the Cloud/Edge Working Group of the “European Alliance for Industrial Data, Edge and Cloud”.
- Conduct in-depth reviews and evaluations of legislation and regulations related to digital policy.
- Be able to clearly communicate to different audiences the strengths, weaknesses, and gaps in existing digital policies.
- Contribute to the preparation of EU funding and tender proposals, and to their eventual execution.
- Contribute to our open source innovation strategy, identifying potential partners, proposing new ideas, creating opportunities for technological collaboration with third-parties, and contributing to organizing impactful events.
- Be willing to travel regularly to Brussels (if not already a resident there) and also occasionally to other European capitals.

**Experience required**
- Proven track record in digital policy activities in an EU context.
- Demonstrated expertise in collecting, processing, and interpreting data and information to support decision-making and problem-solving.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong research, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and team-working skills in an international environment.

**Experience recommended**
- Good understanding of the cloud market in Europe.
- A genuine enthusiasm for technology, with a particular emphasis on open source.
- In-depth knowledge of the European research and innovation ecosystem, preferably with hands-on experience in EU-funded R&D projects.
- Experience working in an international organization or a national government.
- Connections and experience in dealing with the press.
- Other EU languages apart from English are a plus.
