ESSP, a dynamic French company open to the world, is looking for an **IRIS Project Leader **for a **Permanent -Full-time Contract in Madrid**.

If you are **project development oriented** with a **good level of English** and **proficiency satellite technologie**s with at least 6 years of experience in **aeronautical communications**, then this position is for you

By joining us, you will lead ESSP activities in IRIS Initial Operational Capability Phase 3 project under ESA program (IRIS IOC Phase 3), you’ll manage a technical team, and ensure proper project execution and delivery.

**Your main responsibilities/activities will be**:

- Project leading and the oversight and compliance of estimated costs, forecast, procurement, invoices and reportings;
- Develop, maintain and follows-up the Project Management Plan (PMP) for IRIS Phase 3 based on the related tender proposal
- Coordinate activities of internal and external contributors
- Manage the risk analysis and follows-up, putting in place all needed activities to reduce/mitigate the identified risks;
- Lead activities of internal/external projects and Steering Committee meetings;
- Establish the synchronization with involved stakeholders, such as ESA (European Space Agency) and Inmarsat, where the IRIS ground/ airborne infrastructure is being developed;
- Contribute to the ESSP involvement in the evolution of IRIS programme and manage the satisfaction of the customers;
- Contribute technically to required activities and deliveries related to IRIS service provision, mainly to:

- Technical arcquitecture definition;
- Definition of service modelling and concept of operations characterization based on applicable regulatory framework and standards;
- Service Provision requirements definition;
- Contribution to business case activities;
- Technical lead in the identification and preparation of potential tenders related to CNS areas in line with ESSP business strategy.

- Spanish (desirable)

- Proactiveness/initiative
**Specific Skills**:

- Project management processes (PMP, RASCI, Risk identification, reporting) and tools (Microsoft Project, Time control and reporting, Finances).
- Close familiarity with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes
- Good understanding of European regulation (ex.: SES; EASA regulations) and applicable standards (ICAO, EUROCAE, RTCA, ARINC )
- Background in previous IRIS ESA program phases or relevant SESAR projects related to CNS
- Other preferable skills:

- Good understanding of ICAO Aviation System Block Upgrade and Global Air Navigation Plan
- Knowledge of datalink avionics

**Job Requirements**:
Experience in leadership of international and multi-stakeholder projects

Engineering degree or equivalent

Available for regular travels, especially in Europe
