**JOB DESCRIPTION**
The Robotics and Automation Unit of Eurecat Technology Center (Barcelona) is looking for a **highly motivated mechanics, electronics or robotics technician or engineer with hands-on experience in aerial (drones) and ground (rovers) vehicles.**
Our group is specialized in applied research and development on Service and Industrial Robotics. Our objective is to increase the level of robot autonomy and intelligence to enable more complex robotics behaviours. Over the last 15 years, our group has developed extensive experience in solutions and developments for our industrial and service private customers, as well as in several of the most successful European and Spanish projects in robotics. - ** Drone electronics, actuator sizing and power distribution**:
- **Multirrotor platforms piloting**:
- **Mechanical design and 3D printing**:
- **Drone low level controller tunning and programming (Px4, arducopter, betaflight and similars)**:
- **Drone autopilots setup (DJI, pixhawk or similar)**:
- **Microcontroller programming and hardware prototyping**
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
The main responsibilities will focus on contributing to the technical developments of the team including:
- Maintaining and evolving the research platforms
- Designing and integrating payloads
- Contributing to the development and integration of robotic software
- Support in field trials
- Participating in the definition and development of new concepts and robotic ideas
- Participating in scientific publications
- Supporting the project management to ensure proper project execution

**Requirements**:
**REQUIRED SKILLS**
- Degree or MSc or equivalent experience in electronics, Mechanical/product design, Robotics or related disciplines.
- Team spirit and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills, flexibility, and creativity.
- Excellent knowledge of English is required.
- Availability to travel occasionally.
**VALUABLE SKILLS**
- Drone pilot certification for Open and/or Specific categories
- Experience with hardware integration (motors, linear actuators, sensors)
- Programming experience in C, C++ or Python
- Experience with ROS (& ROS2) middle-ware
- Experience with version control (Git)
- Interest/ experience in localization, planning or control algorithms for robotics
- Interest/ experience in robot related AI
- Experience with CNC machining
- Experience with communication protocols (CAN, modbus, I2C, Serial, socket)
