Surge Contractor

Purpose

The Surge Contractor shall provide short term surge capacity support to the Amentum Macfadden Contract for the USAID/BHA-funded Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) Regional Disaster Assistance Program (RDAP). The Amentum Macfadden Surge Contractor will provide intermittent emergency response efforts in their country or region as requested.

If the Surge Contractor is required to stay overnight outside of their home of record, they may be reimbursed lodging and meals and incidental expenses (M&IE) based on Amentum’s policy for their location of travel. The reimbursement for per diem must be pre-approved in writing by Amentum to support invoice payment.

The Scope of Work for the surge consultant will include the following:
Qualifications and Experience:

- Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines, and work independently and cooperatively with team members
- Strong communication and writing skills to produce effective reports.
- Ability to travel on short notice as requested
- Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following technical areas:

- Emergency response (hurricane, flood, earthquake, fire, tsunami)
- Urban search and rescue
- Fire mapping
- Food security and nutrition
- Emergency health care/first aid response
- GIS
- Data Collection and Analysis
- Shelter Management
- School Safety
- Gender and Protection
- HAZMAT
- WASH
- Information Reporting
- Disaster risk management
- Disaster risk reduction
