About the role

2 years of experience in a similar role or recently graduated from a Computer Science degree.

The person should have a problem-solving mindset with a strong hands-on attitude who is looking to execute day to day tasks to support the

different clients and project.
- Key responsibilities
- Data Engineers are expected to have deep understanding of data technologies with a strong desire to develop ETL capabilities along

with a deep interest in data analytics and process improvement.
- Design, implement and maintain data integration code based on Python and Spark (eg **PySpark**).
- Research, suggest and implement best patterns and practices in line with modern industry standards.
- Provide technical documentation and support to internal operations request related to the **data platform**.
- Create data solutions to process data at scale, both in batch and real-time pipelines.
- Support a wide range of data-driven projects working on assigned projects to meet client project requirements and deadlines.
- Skills & Experience
- The following software engineering skills are highly desirable:

- **Technologies**: Python, SQL and PySpark.
- **Architecture**: Cloud (MS Azure preferred), Orchestration and Databricks.
- **Platforms**: Understanding the service catalog of cloud computing platforms (Azure or AWS).
- **Practice**: Development based on unit testing and design patterns.
- **Methodology**: Experience on the practices of any Agile methodology (SCRUM/XP)
- **Big Data**: Experience working with data at scale, including experience with some of the following: Hadoop, Spark,

Hive, Kafka.
- **Databases**: Experience with large-scale distributed storage and database systems (SQL or NoSQL)
- **Framework**: Familiarity with automated functional tools and frameworks (e.g. Selenium)
- **Orchestration**: Experience with building and deploying code using orchestration frameworks (Docker and

Kubernetes).
- **Others**: Interest in Business Intelligence, Process Improvements and ML/AI are a plus.
- Technology passionate, intellectual curiosity, self-starter, embracing continuous improvement, execution-oriented, change

driver.
- Entrepreneur spirit, quick learner, flexible and ability to adapt to change.
- Team player, highly qualified to build internal and external relationships.
- Entrepreneurial mind-set and highly autonomous.
- Goal-oriented, high self-motivation and ambition.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Open-minded, proactive, eager to learn and grow, keen to take responsibilities.
- Ready to travel up to 25% of the time.
- English is our working language. Spanish and or French would be an advantage.
