Junior Bess

To consolidate and further develop its consultancy activities, 3E is looking for a Junior BESS & PV Engineer in the Barcelona office.

At first your responsibilities will be to deliver technical drawings and calculation notes for the design of solar projects in and outside of Spain. Next to that you will gradually evolve towards performing other technical assessments, either from the office or during site inspections.
- You will play a pivotal role in leading BESS engineering activities, actively contributing to the ongoing enhancement of storage solutions.
- You will assume a central role in forecasting CAPEX/OPEX as part of long-term business planning, ensuring sound financial strategies are in place.
- You will study/review technical local regulations and codes including establishing associated standards and specifications for EPC projects.
- You will prepare preliminary designs of BESS and hybrid projects, including the execution of layouts, SLDs, reports and energy profiling of ESS etc. ensuring optimal performance, safety, and reliability.
- You will prepare all the technical deliverables during the engineering phases.
- You will supervise project Acceptance Tests and Commissioning Procedure.
- You will perform electrical and cable sizing calculations.
- You will evaluate and simulate BESS performance.
- You will create procedures and tools for BESS projects.
- You will create BESS drawings.
- You will deliver solar irradiation, performance and energy production assessments.
- You will support and analyse technology choices; identify technical risks and recommend mitigation measures.
- You will perform technical feasibility studies for potential BESS and solar projects.
- You will perform site inspections before, during and after the construction of the projects as well as during the commissioning and operational phase.

As a consultant and engineer, you will either work as an expert on a project managed by one of your colleagues or you will take the role of project manager yourself. As a project manager you are responsible for the communication with your client, potential other stakeholders and your colleagues, for managing the budget and planning of the project and for its timely and qualitative delivery.

You will be a part of our multidisciplinary team of renewable energy experts. We are big fans of teamwork and knowledge-sharing. **Requirements**:
We are looking for someone focused and very organised. Dedicated to problem solving and with a strong work ethic, you also have abilities for conflict resolution with innovative thinking.
- You have a Master's degree in electrical or (renewable) energy engineering, or equivalent through experience.
- You have a clear interest for Renewable Energy.
- You have the mindset of a consultant: you are client-oriented, dynamic and a quick learner.
- You are a team player and have strong communication skills.
- You read, write and speak fluently Spanish and English.
- You have experience with AutoCAD.
- You are open to travel to project sites in Spain, Portugal or Latin America.

Bonus points for:

- ETAP, Digsilent, Homer Pro, PV Case, PVsyst, advanced level of Excel, Python.
- Project management skills.
