**What you'll do**

Our Data Engineers are responsible for providing and maintaining high quality, trusted data sets for use by our Analysts. Using Python to build and deploy ETLs you will be the bridge between new or unstructured data sources and our Analytics team, helping them to define and track new metrics as needed to deliver business value.
- Work with our Analytics team to build new ETLs and models to serve the business.
- Identify new tool sets to help automate, catalogue and maintain our ETLs.
- Work with our Engineering teams to implement best practices in documentation, observability, unit testing, change management and full information lifecycle management.
- Act as a point of reference for the rest of the team on coding best practices and participate in code reviews.

**What you'll bring**
- Strong experience working with various data sources, including good experience in handling relational, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
- Good knowledge of database design and development with previous experience in developing ETL processes, and multidimensional data models.
- Understanding of both relational and multidimensional modeling principles.
- Strong experience in Python.
- Solid experience with SQL queries.
- Problem-solving skills, willingness to take ownership and risks, and enthusiasm in the face of technical knowledge.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Solid GIT experience.

**Nice to have**
- Expertise of Kafka and knowledge of RabbitMQ.
- Experience of Apache Airflow or similar.
- Working with Hive, Spark or Impala.
- Knowledge of Exasol.
- Knowledge of any one of the scripting languages, such as Shell Scripting or PERL.
