We are looking for a structured and ambitious Business Controller with high analytical skills that can mainly help us to plan, organize, gather advanced information (from related IT tools & stakeholders) to generate and present our Monthly closing and PVO (Procurement Volume) reporting of Siemens Gamesa to the management team & to related stakeholders in the company.

How to contribute to our vision

As a Business Controller, you will work within the Global Procurement Controlling team, which is responsible for all Business unit related matters regarding cost transparency on commodity, platform and regional level.

Fluctuating commodity &raw material prices can have a vast impact on the procurement costs, cash flows and earnings of the companies.

As a next step focusing on reporting the fluctuations in Commodity and Raw Material prices, and manage to control the exposure of price volatilities by combining your commodity markets expertise with the help of Digitalization tools (Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities and Visualizations Tools like Power BI)

As a Business Controller you will focus on regular monthly PVO reporting & all PVO and Spend related reporting as well as Commodity Market Trends, Raw Material Exposure, needed Data Transformation, Data Updates and Cleansing and Reporting.

You will also need to provide hands-on support for AdHoc requests (in Excel or PowerBI). Optionally you can help the team developing our PowerBI Landscape and ensure Data quality and accuracy.

You daily work will be among top professional controllers and colleagues in Global Strategic Procurement in an exciting, dynamic and international development environment.

You will work within a Procurement Controlling Organization which is highly focused on delivering detailed and accurate support, ensures a smooth, seamless, and timely monthly analytics, controlling, and reporting process; making action fields transparent and enable decision making for Global Procurement organization.

Other responsibilities include:

- Working in close collaboration with the Stakeholders in Procurement Controlling Organization and Global Strategic Procurement Teams to timely generate the monthly closing & PVO reporting and presenting to Management Team
- Provide efficient regular & ad-hoc reports and presentations to mitigate the negative impacts of commodity & raw material price volatility risks for Strategic Procurement Organization to take long term decisions with accuracy and more confidence
- Working in close collaboration with the Stakeholders in Global Strategic Procurement to gather advanced information on fluctuations in Commodity and Raw Material prices, and reporting the exposure of price volatilities & impacts on weekly monthly & yearly basis reporting
- Establish and search for alternative data sources & benchmark external tools & solutions in the market to make predictions of commodity &raw material prices over time horizons of one month to one year
- Design and build the future set up of data management, analytics and data driven concepts to ensure a seamless setup
- Define processes and tools for the effective, integrated introduction of new ways of data management within procurement controlling
- Responsible for data quality and transparency with the help of KPIs.
- Drive the creation of new PowerBI reports
- Support with maintenance/update of existing PowerBI reports
- Drive our data quality reviews in financial reporting

What do you need to make a difference?

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. You have a bachelor's degree in IT, engineering, or similar. Ideally, you have a minimum of 6 years of experience in Data analytics, controlling or consulting, preferably from within the renewable energy sector or Procurement.
