**Role Overview**

Do you want to be part of the biggest digital transformation in the EdTech and help people around the world to learn languages and realize their dreams?

The English Language Learning (ELL) division of Pearson is looking for a talented, energetic and motivated professional to join our growing team as a Senior Manager, Digital Solutions and Architecture. You will help us navigate a rapidly developing technology landscape and modernize our core technology platform. Reporting to the Chief Architect you will responsible for defining and designing the architecture which underpins our digital ecosystem. We are looking for an individual who has ample experience owning solution architecture for eCommerce, CRM, Mobile apps and customer focused projects
- Provide architectural strategy and leadership to developing and implementing initiatives that improve innovation in a rapidly changing technology landscape
- Responsible for developing, managing and maintaining the digital road map and ensuring it aligns to the overarching business and marketing objectives and enhance the user experience
- Collaborate with senior leaders in business and technology to define MVP scope for various initiatives and design solutions that align with enterprise technology strategy
- Evaluate emerging technologies for use across multiple domains, which include RFPs, vendor evaluations and creation of Architecture Design Proposals
- Excellent understanding of UX, online user behavior and Analytics
- Architect Digital Consumer experiences based on a foundation of enterprise technologies that define web content and eCommerce strategy
- Design reliable, scalable, and performant end-to-end architectures which can support sites in a number of geographies across the globe
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring of technical leads and development teams

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Degree in computer science or equivalent, with strong fundamentals and problem-solving skills
- Strong solutions architecture experience with complex enterprise solutions
- Design Patterns, Non-Functional Requirements
- Min 8 years industry experience
- Experience in e-Commerce architectures, systems integration and development, with knowledge of multiple technologies and interactive design using e-Commerce platforms such as SAP Commerce Cloud / Hybris, Oracle ATG, Adobe Magento, BigCommerce, Salesforce Commerce, headless architectures familiar with building experiences using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
- Familiarity with eCommerce supporting technologies and platforms such as CMS, DAM, PIM, ERP, payment gateways, payment orchestration platforms, tax compliance software and services
- Proven Digital Marketing / Digital Product experience
- Excellent understanding of UX, online user behavior and Google Analytics
- Experience in delivering web/app projects and using A/B testing
- Passionate about digital best practices, trends and developments
- Experience developing RESTful web services and GraphQL
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript including front-end development frameworks like Angular, React, Vue
- Deep understanding of object-oriented programming, relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server, NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, DynamoDB and Elasticsearch, complex integration landscapes
- Experience coaching and mentoring technology talent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
