**About the team**
You will be part of the **Digital Compliance Team of Sanoma Learning**. It’s a new team within Sanoma Learning that’s currently being built. This year, the team will consist of 2 privacy officers and 2 security officers. The team provides support on privacy and security throughout the whole Sanoma Learning company, so not just Technology.
The security officer will be responsible for supporting the business in the Spanish region and next to that for one product engineering center, based on the Sanoma Learning privacy guidelines and standards. The security officer will be a sparring partner for the other security officers and will actively share knowledge on different security topics.
**Responsibilities**:
As a Security Officer you will:
- Support the business with the implementation of the Sanoma Learning security guidelines and standards and create additional guidelines and local security policy within the Sanoma Learning security framework.
- Contribute to the preparation of the Sanoma security standards.
- Advise on and cooperate on ad hoc information requests about security, raising security awareness and training security knowledge within the organization and training new employees on the security standards.
- Give solicited and unsolicited advice on security to the management team of the Spanish region and product managers of the product engineering centers.
- Be a part of the data breach task forces and responsible for the correct registration, communication, and handling of security incidents.
- Support the business with its ISO 27001 certification.
**Requirements**:
- Academic thinking and working level.
- At least 3 years experience in a security role, preferably in education, at least have an affinity with education.
- Knowledge of and experience with ISO 27001 is a plus.
- Experience with stakeholder management on different levels in the company.
- Being able to read and understand (technical) documentation on development (architecture pictures, background on development, etc.).
- An analytic mind capable of translating (complex) security issues into easy-to-understand security issues.
- Flexibility when it comes to handling (data) breaches within the required timeframe.
- Results and customer-focused with a pragmatic and hands-on attitude.
- Experience in working in an international environment and different cultures.
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Language: Native Spanish speaking, full professional proficiency in verbal and written skills in English.
